I absolutely agree.

Nineteen million tons: That’s how much food Japan throws away every year. This has negative effects on the environment.

When we turn our eyes to the issue of the environment, it is obvious that we damage nature to produce and throw away food.

In the future, the environment might be too damaged to grow food altogether.
